WEATHER NOTIFICATIONS & SAFETY
at the delaware state fair
The safety of our guests, staff, and community is our number one priority. As we look toward the 105th Annual Delaware State Fair, we are working to ensure a proper weather safety notification for all staff, volunteers, vendors and patrons who enter the fairgrounds; as well as ensuring accessible first aid stations and access to EMS as needed.
OUTDOOR CONCERT WEATHER PLANNING
When the National Weather Service issues a severe weather warning impacting the Fairgrounds, an announcement will be made over the grounds-wide public address system alerting Fairgoers to seek shelter. The announcement will be repeated every two minutes until the severe weather warning has expired.
Please be aware that all shows including concerts, rodeo and demo derby performances in the M&T Bank Grandstand are held rain or shine. The pit, track, and bleacher/stadium seating areas are not covered. The grandstand and club house seating areas are the only areas that are covered. Only dangerous weather conditions at show time will delay a show or cause it to be cancelled.
All delay or cancellation announcements will be posted to the homepage of the website. Umbrellas are not permitted in the venue.
