Since the Fair’s establishment in 1919, The Delaware State Fair has promoted the culture of Delaware, agriculture, education and community involvement through quality entertainement in a family-friendly environment!
At 10 consecutive days, the Delaware State Fair is the longest running fair in Delmarva, and the largest. Our goal is to bring folks from all walks of life to our fairgrounds for the annual summer celebration, as well as provide our community with exciting off-season events.
The Fair uses its own Board members, as well as hundreds of volunteers from the community organizations, civic clubs and individuals to make up the necessary manpower and expertise that is needed to ensure that the Fair fulfills its mission.
The Board of Directors of the Fair is comprised of eighty directors and is committed to its mission of supporting youth, agriculture, and community. All revenue generated is reinvested into our various programs and to maintain our facilities.

DIRECTIONS TO THE FAIR – Located on rt 13 south in Harrington, Delaware, the fairgrounds are easily accessible by car or public transportation. Our physical address is 18500 S Dupont Highway, Harrington, DE 19952 – you can’t miss us, we promise!
PARKING AT THE FAIR
- STANDARD PARKING – Available at NO charge across various lots throughout the Fairgrounds.
- ADA PARKING – Ada spots and designated drop-off can be found behind the Administrative Building. Please use the main entrance off of South DuPont Hwy to access this parking area. Your handicap parking credentials will need to be provided to parking attendants.
- CELL PHONE LOT – Our “yellow lot” located behind Mountaire Farms right next to the Fairgrounds is easily accessible to route 13. (Please note: Max wait is 30min, and is available on a first come first serve basis) Closed 12-7am
- VIP PARKING – Take advantage of one of our most popular amenities. Our VIP Parking gives you easy access when entering and exiting the fairgrounds. Passes can be purchased HERE.
We offer shuttles throughout our parking lots that carry patrons to the Main Gate and Gate 7, there are also additionally 6 interior shuttle stops in the fairgrounds.
AMENITIES & ACCESSABILITY
The Delaware State Fair is proud to welcome fairgoers from all walks life. Each year, the Fair offers a variety of amenities to make events accessible and comfortable for everyone. From nursing stations, ADA friendly restrooms, sensory safe areas and even sign language interpreters, our organization is prepared to welcome you to the fair!
STAYING COMFORTABLE
Keep in mind before your trip to the Fair, it will likely be HOT! Make sure to dress accordingly, stay hydrated and wear sunscreen or protective clothing as necessary
- You can find a free sunscreen dispenser at the entrance provided by our sponsor, Walmart
- You can find a water refill station at the Centre Ice Rink
HOTELS + LODGING
There are various hotels in the town of Harrington and more within a 5-10 mile radius of the Fairgrounds, a list of lodging options can be found HERE.
CAMPING AT THE FAIR
Camping during the 10 days of Fair is a unique experience for Exhibitors and patrons. The Fair has over 300 camping spaces with water and electric hookups. Applications for new campers are accepted beginning January 15th of each year. For more information on camping, click HERE
