Enter your Beef Cattle in the 2020 Delaware State Fair! You must enter your Beef Cattle online through Delaware State Fair’s website. Ability to enter begins 9:00 AM April 1, 2020 and closed 11:59 PM June 1, 2020.

Beef Cattle Show Date and Time

The Delaware State Fair will host one Beef Cattle Show on Tuesday, July 28 at 8:00 AM. The Junior and Open Breed Show will be followed by the Showmanship, Market Steer, and Feeder Calf Shows.

Beef Cattle Arrival and Departure Specifications

Beef Cattle may arrive on Thursday, July 23 starting at 8:00 AM and MUST be in place by 8:00 AM on Saturday, July 25. Animals may arrive on Thursday, July 23 starting at 8:00 AM and MUST be in place by 8:00 AM, Saturday, July 25. Exhibitors may remove up to 1/3 of their beef cattle from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM Thursday, July 30. Please notify your superintendent before removal of any animals and remember to clean any vacated area. All remaining animals may not leave the grounds before 1:00 AM, Sunday, August 2 or premiums will be forfeited.

You are required to attend the mandatory Barn Meeting Saturday, July 25 at 8:00 AM in the Kent Building. Weigh-ins to follow. All shows will take place at the Quillen Arena.

Beef Cattle exhibitors are required to be at least five (5) years of age by January 1st of the current Fair year (2020). It is your responsibility as an exhibitor to know all rules in the exhibitor’s handbook. Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) Training is required for all junior market animal exhibitors and goat show exhibitors.
